About HCTA

Hillsborough County Tennis Association was organized in May of 2007 and incorporated at that same time and within 7 months was recognized by the IRS as a nonprofit 501(c) (3) corporation. The HCTA will work to help foster the development of public facilities and events and serve as an advocate for tennis programs while striving to create an environment where everyone is given the opportunity to learn, play and grow the game of tennis regardless of race, age, religion, ethnicity or socio-economic states. The HCTA will strive to bring community awareness of “the sport of a lifetime” to the public, and work to be the communication source for Hillsborough County tennis. A Board of Directors and committee structure of volunteers form policy, provide direction, and perform specific committee duties. Its Executive Board is comprised of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. There may be also up to 10 authorized Board members.
